What anti-cheat does Siege use?

Rainbow Six Siege uses BattlEye, a kernel-level anti-cheat, alongside Ubisoft's in-house QArth system and Mousetrap, which flags mouse-and-keyboard adapters on console. Full breakdown on our Rainbow Six Siege anti-cheat guide.

What is Easy Anti-Cheat?

Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) is an anti-cheat service owned by Epic Games and offered free through Epic Online Services. It runs a kernel driver while a protected game is open and checks memory, loaded modules and drivers. It is used by ARC Raiders, Rust, Apex Legends, Fortnite and many others.

Is Easy Anti-Cheat kernel level?

Yes. EAC loads a kernel-mode driver when a protected game starts and unloads it when the game closes. It does not run permanently in the background like Riot Vanguard.

BattlEye vs Easy Anti-Cheat

Both are kernel-level and load with the game. BattlEye is used by Siege, PUBG and DayZ; EAC by ARC Raiders, Rust and Apex. The practical difference is mostly in update cadence and how each studio combines them with server-side detection.

How to install, repair or uninstall Easy Anti-Cheat

Open the game's install folder, go to EasyAntiCheat and run EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe (or EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe). Choose the game, then Install, Repair or Uninstall. Verifying game files in Steam or Epic also reinstalls it. Step-by-step fixes are in our EAC repair guide.

What anti-cheat does Call of Duty use?

Call of Duty, Warzone and Black Ops 7 use Ricochet, Activision's anti-cheat with a kernel driver, server-side analytics and in-match mitigations such as damage shield. See our Ricochet anti-cheat guide.
